Backend Developer
Builds and improves the APIs that power our autonomous ventures. You'll work closely with our CTO/CPO to implement new features, optimise performance, and ensure our infrastructure scales as we grow from dozens to hundreds of autonomous companies. Strong communication skills are essential - we need developers who can build, improve, AND explain.

What you'll do
- •Build and improve APIs for our AI framework (Node.js/JavaScript)
- •Implement new features based on product roadmap priorities
- •Optimize API performance and database queries
- •Work closely with CTO/CPO on technical architecture decisions
- •Debug and fix backend issues reported by venture analysts
- •Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- •Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- •Help design database schemas and data models
- •Implement automated tests for new features
- •Collaborate with frontend developers on API integration
- •Explain technical decisions and trade-offs to non-technical team members
- •Document APIs and technical processes
What we're looking for
- •Strong Node.js/JavaScript experience (2+ years minimum)
- •Experience building RESTful APIs or GraphQL
- •Knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar)
- •Understanding of API design principles and best practices
- •Comfortable with Git and modern development workflows
- •Excellent communication skills, you can explain technical concepts clearly
- •Self-driven and able to work independently
- •Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- •Team player who collaborates well across functions
- •Proficient in English (written and spoken)
- •International ambition and willingness to relocate within EU
Bonus points for:
- •Full-stack capabilities (React, Vue, or similar frontend frameworks)
- •Experience with AI/ML APIs or LLMs
- •DevOps knowledge (Docker, CI/CD, cloud platforms)
- •Experience scaling systems to handle high traffic
